Found myself unable to sleep tonight, and stumbled across an interesting documentary-type cinematograph called "Waco: Rules of Engagement". Why Waco? Why now, 17 years later? Well, because Dick Morris, an old friend of Bill Clinton (now THAT'S got to be one of the world's most dangerous jobs!) was on the washed up hack Hannity show last week, talking about Slick Willie's involvement in the Waco mass murder. I'm too lazy to search YouTube (plus, allergic to Sean Hannity), so I'll just quote Mr. Morris' blog directly:

Apart from the absurdity of likening elderly Medicare recipients pushing walkers to the likes of Timothy McVeigh and the right wing militias, Clinton’s comments totally ignore the real history of Oklahoma City.
It was not anti-government rhetoric that inspired McVeigh to do his dastardly deed. According to the killer himself, it was the action of the federal government during the Waco raid that incited him to violence. That the attack on the Federal Office Building took place on the anniversary of the Waco raid underscores the connection.
Bill Clinton was far from blameless in the Waco attack. While he sought to shift the responsibility to Attorney General Janet Reno, acting as if he were merely a by-stander, subsequent histories make it clear that he was smarting from criticism that the failure of the feds to act and their continued toleration of the siege showed him to be too weak to be a good president. He would often complain about the unfairness of this coverage to me as he recounted the events leading up to the Waco raid.

If you've got a few spare cycles in between American Idol and the NFL draft, rent this movie. Watch it, and after you've picked your jaw up off the floor, watch it again (and no, Mr. Clinton, it's not a comedy).
It makes me sick to watch tanks roll on UNARMED WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND ELDERLY. Did you know that the ATF's original purpose at the Waco compound was to serve a "knock" search warrant? Meaning: THEY DON'T EVEN KICK YOUR DOOR IN! They knock on your door, serve the warrant, perform the search, and leave. The ATF showed up at the front door with 75 agents in riot gear, 3 HELICOPTERS!!!, and Bradley armored vehicles for fuck's sake! They then proceeded to RAID the compound, and almost IMMEDIATELY began firing on the residents inside. Yes, there were some guns inside the building. In fact, David Koresh and others had even bought AND sold guns at local gun shows as a way to make extra income. Guns??? Good God, they must have been al-CIAda! Arrest those Communist traitors! Or at least, the 3 or 4 who made it out alive.
In the ensuing firefight, the ATF agents RAN OUT OF FUCKING AMMO! The Davidians ALLOWED THEM TO RETREAT, REGROUP, AND RELOAD while they waited patiently for FBI negotiators to try and work it all out. But after a couple of days of tense standoff, what happened? Wait for it, here's the good part:
The ATF then pumped CS gas, a highly flammable nerve agent (a.k.a. "tear gas"), into a building full of men, women, and children for 48 STRAIGHT HOURS. Read this if you want to know more. And of course we all know the big finale.
And the real knee slapper from the video? The clips from CSPAN of our "esteemed" Congressfolk interviewing witnesses, ATF agents, and others. You've got Chuckie Schumer, Conyers, and several others from the current crop of criminals. And my favorite, at the very end, is a BLATANT LIE delivered in a practiced deadpan by none other than Joe Biden saying how those people "set the building on fire themselves and committed suicide". Well, if Joe Biden said it, then by God it's good enough for me!
Look, anybody reading this (all 3 of you), I didn't come up with this shit, and I'm certainly not the first person to point it out. The NEXT Reichstag (wouldn't be a rant without mentioning the Reichstag fire!) is going to make 9/11 look like OKC, which made OKC look like Waco, which made Waco look like Ruby Ridge, but I digress.
Take a minute and watch this video and look at the photos of the 8 year old girl's dead body, muscles atrophied and skin BURNED FROM HER FACE and tell me they won't kill 3,000 in NYC. They'll kill a million in the Middle East for no other reason (that I can see) other than clearing out the OLD bombs so we can buy some NEW ones. They'll murder babies in the womb and call it "freedom of choice", they'll take away all of our rights and call it the "Patriot Act", and yes, they will AND DID murder all those people in Waco 17 years ago. Murder, death, destruction, MORE, MORE, MORE!
